Hello Ladies,
I hope everyone is well, tonight.  If anyone would like to do a check in we could certainly start there.  I know that these months are not easy for you...
Did you take time for yourself since the last time that we met?

Holiday blues???

The Holidays are over and things are getting back to routine.  How are you coping with the transition?  Having something to look forward to always helps.  It could be your hot cup of coffee in the morning, a visit or phone call from a friend, or just being able to get up and out of bed.  Be mindful of the little things and life and that will help you to start each day in a better mood.

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all are getting out in the sunshine.  Natural Vitamin D is known to help with depression.  So sit outside or go for a short walk, breathe in the fresh air an appreciate the moment!  I know it is easier said than done, but if you can pull yourself out of bed, you might feel a little bit better.
I noticed that I have viewers from all over the country and different parts of the world.  If your are interested in receiving some counseling or you have questions please contact me.  Also, I was considering starting up an on line, telephone or skype therapy.  If this is something that you would consider, please let me know. You do not have to leave any contact information, just respond on my blog!  I will not contact you unless you request it, if you are willing to leave some anonymous feedback let me know.

Many Blessings and much Peace!
Jennifer

Stressful times

Recent days have been very stressful for many.  I watch the news and hear people talking and the feeling is mutual, times are tough!  Money is tight, gas prices are up, grocery prices have inflated and you are not getting any extra income.  For those of us who have jobs we consider ourselves fortunate.  Something that we can do when your day gets difficult and seems unmanageable, remember and think about one blessing or good thing in your life.  You can think about a beautiful flower you saw outside, a smiling child, your health, the smell of spring in the air....anything that can get you refocused and back to the task at hand, whatever that may be for you.

Free Postpartum Depression Support Group

A little over twelve years ago I had my first child.  My husband and I were very excited in his anticipation of his arrival.  We he arrived I did not share the same love and excitement toward this child as my husband did.  Why? What is wrong with me?  I'm a terrible human being!!!

I went on feeling this way for seven lonely months.  I remember feeling very isolated, depressed and alone, although I was always surrounded by loving people.  I took very good care of my child even though is was a labor and I would cry while I went through the routine of the day.  It was seven months later when I had a complete breakdown.  My husband called the ob/gyn and got me help.  There was nothing wrong with me.  I didn't know that this was something many women experienced.  Why didn't anyone tell me?

I am here to open a support group for those who feel that they are alone.  You are not alone in these feelings, many of us have experienced the same thoughts and feelings but are to ashamed to admit them.  We can gather together in a non judgmental, safe and confidential environment and share are sadness and our joys.

Just knowing that you are not alone helps!!!
